Ms. Wollesen is a Sierra Foothills area resident. She has a degree in Organizational Development.

She spent several years in overseas business development in the Peace Corps and with her own consulting firm. She has ten years of experience in the Silicon Valley working with small and emerging low to high tech businesses.

Thirteen years ago, Mary opened and organized the Sierra College Small Business Development Center, which provides free business management consulting and training to prospective and existing business owners. This center serves Placer, Nevada, Sierra, Plumas, Lassen, and Modoc counties. The Sierra College SBDC is an award-winning, effective economic development organization committed to sustainable futures for northeastern California.

Mary is now the Statewide Director of Small Business Programs for Economic & Workforce Development Programs.
