Jay Vlahakis
Director, McClellan Technology Incubator
Jay has over 30 years in the business and business startup
world. He's currently responsible for the development and
creation of the McClellan Technology Incubator. At the
incubator, Jay is responsible for all tenants (emerging new
businesses) in all areas of business management from operations,
policy and procedures, marketing and finance. He also acts as
mentor and mediator to Incubator tenants, providing assistance
in diversifying tenants service and/or product mix. The
companies range from software designers to alternative energy
source companies.
In the areas of fundraising, he is responsible for writing
grants to obtain funds for building improvements and working
capital as well as fund raising activities for the on-going
operations of the Incubator and event planning
Previously, Jay has served as a business specialist, financial
analyst, a principal consultant for domestic and international
trade and start up businesses. He has also worked in the banking
and finance world as a business development officer, assisting
companies obtain loans and other funding mechanisms for business
expansion, capital acquisition and market diversification. |
