Matt Gilliland
Author & Microcontroller Design Consultant
Matt
Gilliland specializes in microcontroller based products and
systems.
As a
consultant to such organizations as Hewlett Packard and the
Lawrence Hall of Science at UC Berkeley, he has helped create
several electronics programs used in schools and commerce today.
Matt is also a respected consultant to small businesses that
have benefited from his ability to communicate complicated
subjects in easy-to-understand language. Matt is known for his
ability to reduce complex applications into simple solutions,
and as a result he's authored a series of electronic invention
resource books, The Microcontroller Application Cookbooks.
Always creating something, he can usually be found in his "lab",
designing electronic circuits, then writing about them for his
next book. Although creating microcontroller based products is
his passion, being able to educate others on how to implement
these strategies and concepts gives him the most satisfaction.
